Oh Dear!

I attended the first Australian presentation of LocalAdLink MLM with Jim Brown in Sydney last night (July 11th 2009)

Jim Brown and Trevor Williams presented.

For the first hour they could not seem to make anything work. Very internet savvy indeed! And I noticed that Trevor (the Corporate representative for this leading edge internet business did not even know how to show a YouTube video in full screen. – That was my first “Oh Dear” thought.

I had hooked into LAL about 5 months ago in the USA to check it out and test it out, because on first look it seemed they had an something of an edge.

But they don't! (and they know it). Unfortunately they are preying on people’s internet ignorance. They have stuffed up and changed their system and comp plans and product base so many times in such a short period of time that it is now pretty clear they are making it all up as they go. Everything they say they have as ‘unique and exclusive’ is available for free or very low cost to anyone with a little internet savvy. Luckily for the LocalAdLink MLM with Jim Brown there are still plenty of gullible and internet ignorant people to extract money from.

Local internet advertising is well covered with GoogleMaps and all the local newspapers who have a system of providing local internet exposure by including their advertisers on GoogleMaps.

For instance if you go to www.Maps.Google.com and search your own address (on the left panel) you can find the links to put your business details on Google Maps for free and even display your ads on Google Maps. As any internet-awake pizza parlor owner already knows, when you have listed your business on Google Maps anyone with GoogleMaps on their mobile/cell phone will find you if they use their Sat Nav features.

I asked Jim and Trevor, his Corporate offsider, about this towards the end of their pitch. I simply asked why a local business should pay LocalAdLink when they can do it for free or near to? At this they seemed to crumble into a quivering jelly without any real answer for it except that I had missed the point of it all! Well, obviously I had. (Or is there no point to it?)

Also interesting to see was how Jim eventually got it together and showed a presentation. He ran a pre-recorded PowerPoint with Leslie Tomlin doing the presentation (that one did run smoothly). I’d guess it may be tricky to present the LocalAdLink MLM with Jim Brown because of the legal issues he had with the closure of SkyBiz in 2004, he probably has to keep a low profile. So he seems to be building his team through his Fiancée, Leslie Tomlin, another ex SkyBizer. Hey . . . I was in SkyBiz too. It was a GREAT product at a great time, (an Internet education and Web Site kit) ruined with a money game they encouraged with their multiple stacking of positions in their binary system. (Look out for those Binaries guys!)

But they did manage to keep saying. "I'm Blown Away with this aren't you?" And the majority nodded in agreement. :-)

I expect LocalAdLink will get off the ground and run while there are still enough people in local businesses who do not know better. But there cannot possibly be any longevity. So it will be a Hay-Day for get rich quick money gamers till the game implodes. If you are one of them better get in quick or you will be one of the end players with Egg On Face Debts.

I predict a Hay-Day for get rich quick money gamers till the LocalAdLink MLM with Jim Brown game implodes! - in the mean time Google's FREE localadlinks will continue in popularity once local advertisers know the service is available.
